A Father's Love

Once again, I've stood for justice, truth and transparency. Once again, pushing away the people I love. It's become a pattern in this life, but at least I'm consistent. Before I am loyal to a person, I am loyal to a principle. For that principle existed before the relationship was established. To quote the great Hip-Hop Philosopher - Jay-Z, "Man you was who you was fo you go here." I stand on principle. And my principles consist of truth, justice, transparency, and love. Unfortunately, not all people I love rock with that, and I must be ok with this fact. "Amor fati" is a latin phrase attributed to many philosophers, writers and great thinkers, but in this existence it first came across my awareness under the name Marcus Aurelius. Aurelius was a Roman emperor from 161 - 180 AD and also was a stoic philosopher. However, Marcus wrote in Greek and this is a latin phrase. Friedrich Nietzsche often used the concept in his writings, it is known to mean "love of fate" or "love on one's fate". Basically to mean it means, love, accept and embrace the pain and suffering just as much as you love the wins, pleasures and celebrations,

because it all comes with the human experience. You can't have the sun without the moon, nor the ground without the sky, so love it all, and accept the pain as a brother with a hard fought lesson. All is well, because God is love. And the challenges put before us are here to prop us up, to build a better me and a better you. On the other side of your challenge is a wiser more improved you. So face that fear, and live to tell the story. Amor Fati!
